GRIEF

Grief is a personal journey – different for everyone. You may think you will never get over feeling sad and deserted. Sometimes the mountains are just too high to climb. Try to work through your feelings, not to get over them. Let God lead you one day at a time.

Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain, The old things have disappeared.

Psalm 147:3 - He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds.

1 Peter 5:7 - Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.

 

FEELING SAD

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 - Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the merciful Father, the God from whom all help comes! He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God. Just as we have a share in Christ's many sufferings, so also through Christ we share in God's great help.

 

FEELING DOWN

Psalm 34:17-18 - The righteous call to the Lord and he listens; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who are discouraged; he saves those who have lost all hope. 

 

IN NEED OF COMFORT

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be determined and confident. Do not be afraid of them. Your God, the Lord himself, will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.

 

FEELING STRESSED

Psalm 3:5-8 - I lie down and sleep, and all night long the Lord protects me. I am not afraid of the thousands of enemies who surround me on every side. Come, Lord! Save me, my God! You punish all my enemies and leave them powerless to harm them. Victory comes from the Lord – may he bless his people.

 

LOSS OF FAITH

Hebrews 11:6 - No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.
